The big news today is I crossed the 500 mile mark. It’s hard to believe that I’m about a third of the way done with this run but the math checks out. This was a big milestone for me as it feels that I’m well on my way to completion. Also, I know today's song of the day is a little on the nose, but it was too perfect to not use.
The crazy part is we’ve only been to three colleges so far and will hit the fourth on Sunday. The area covered by Treasure Valley, Blue Mountain, Central Oregon, and Klamath CC’s is huge.
Spent the entire day on Hwy 97 which wasn’t too bad as it has a sizeable shoulder, the traffic whizzing by all day was noisy but manageable. I spent another day babying my achilles and it seems to have helped as it’s feeling better.
Super fun to have two of my kids, Megan and Owen, crewing for this leg. They are great supporters and it really feels like a family affair this week.
I’ve found some weird things along the roads these past few weeks. Today was particularly odd as I found a brand new birkenstock, an Illinois license plate, and a hammer.
500 miles!!! 🤯🤯🤯 And the hammer! What a way to build a tool box! 😆 Way to go Tim and Team!
