Another strong day of running. The temps were in the 70s and for the most part I had a flat route through Albany on my way to Salem. I’m working to stay ahead of schedule as I have some big miles to put in this week as I head to Lincoln City. So I ran past Linn-Benton CC as I have an event there in the morning that will start off the day. I finished the day near the Enchanted Forest, one of my favorite places as a kid and a place we took our kids when they were young. Sadly, I did not have the time to go to the park.
Did want to mention we started the day in Shedd, Oregon where we left off yesterday. The van had parked in front of a house as the crew was waiting for me to finish and a lovely woman came out to learn about what we were doing. After explaining the purpose of the run we said we would be back in the morning to continue running. She was there waiting for us this morning with some of the most amazing pastries I’ve ever had. Love meeting all of these people along the way.
After LBCC tomorrow we’ll make our way through Salem and out toward the Coast! Will hit 1,000 miles tomorrow.
