Last night we stayed at Rogue CC President Randy Weber and his wife Sasha’s house, big thanks for the hospitality. Today’s run I had several guests, my son Holden, his friends Egan, Jess, Alicia, and Tristan, as well as Medford City Councilor Kevin Stine. Holden and his friends ran for about 4.5 miles and Kevin ran for 12. I learned a lot about Medford and what the city has been doing to improve livability from Kevin, it was like having a guided tour of the city. It was super fun to run with Holden, his friends, and their dog Zuko.
My other favorite part was I got to spend most of the day continuing on the Bear Creek Trail and then transitioning to the Rogue River Greenway trail. Both trails were beautiful and had some shaded areas which helped as today was another one in the mid-90s. For lunch my crew treated me to some KFC and it hit the spot.
Finally, the big news of the day is that we officially are halfway to our fundraising goal at more than $75,000. Thank you to the 300+ who have donated across Oregon and another 13 states, and please tell your friends or donate if you haven't already.
Tonight we’re staying at RCC Board Member Pat Fahey’s house. We enjoyed a great dinner and I got to soak my feet in some ice water--such is the glamorous life I live these days. Looking forward to the event at Rogue Community College in the morning.
