Day 15: Central Oregon Community College

At long last we made it to COCC in Bend today. This is the longest leg of the trip at about 240 miles. It took 8 days to get here over some serious mountains and hot weather. COCC had a great arrival event. Several staff members from their IT Dept and some students ran the last mile or so up to campus where about 50 people were gathered inside with cold lemonade (I drank 4 glasses) and cookies.

It was President Laurie Chesley’s last day before retirement so I was glad she was able to make it. I got to meet the new President Greg Pereira who starts tomorrow so it was two Presidents for the price of one.

Tomorrow we start the 6 day journey to Klamath Community College.
