Day 11: 300 Miles Down!

Started the day with a great morning run out of Condon. I was wearing the Nike Alphafly’s and my feet felt great pushing off the pavement. Unfortunately our route steered us onto a gravel road that turned into a private road so I ran about 2.5 miles that I didn’t need to do.

Once we figured out the correct route I got into a groove and with the help of a long downhill I got in about 10 quick miles. My left achilles tendon started to hurt but Paddy put some KT tape on it and an ankle support which helped a lot. The rest of the day went pretty smoothly and I enjoyed running through Fossil as now the terrain was shifting to pine trees. The last week and half running through farmland with no trees had gotten old.

I knew I was close to hitting the 300 mile mark and my crew had found a great campsite right about the point I would hit it. So I pressed on and finished the day strong. Resting my feet tonight as we are headed to Mitchell and more elevation.
